The depressed ceilings ( BHUVANESHVARIS ) are very interesting. They are nine in number. Commencing from the east doorway and proceeding clock-wise they are as stated below :
1. Circular gallery with concentric circles and plain pendant.
2. Eight-pointed star-shaped gallery with an image of AGNI in the lower portion of the pendant.
3. Circular gallery.
4. SHREECHAKRA (ಶ್ರೀಚಕ್ರ) gallery.
5. Octagonal gallery.
6. Twelve-pointed star shaped gallery.
7. Round gallery with concentric circles.
8. Sixteen-pointed star shaped gallery.
9. Central ceiling : Octagonal gallery with concentric circles above.
