| The Tower over the Temple |
The stone tower (i.e.,the VIMAANA ) over the main shrine is three storeyed. It is of the usual HOYSALA type. It has on its faces not only sculptured turrets but different forms of VISHNU. The projection over the SHUKANAASI has a KEERTIMUKHA. On top of the VIMAANA is a metal KALASHA.
